The program consists of three terms that provide core courses and specialization courses, plus a fourth term, during which you will participate in an internship within a healthcare organization, public institution, or private company in Italy or abroad.
XXV Edition 2023-2024
The first term of MIHMEP is designed to provide students with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to successfully act in the field of healthcare management, economics, and policy. At the end of the First Term students will choose a Specialization. The three options are: Global Health & Development, Healthcare Management, or Pharmaceutical & Medical Technology.
During the second term students attend other two core courses and start Specialization Courses.
Students complete their Specialization Courses: Global Health & Development, Healthcare Management, Pharmaceutical & Medical Technology.
Internships are performed in pharmaceutical/medical device companies, national and regional health authorities, hospitals, health insurance organizations, NGOs, supranational organizations, research centers, and consulting companies, in Italy or abroad – all representing potential employment destinations opportunities.
Teaching involves a mixture of lectures and practical sessions together with group projects and seminars with an emphasis on discussion and problem solving. These diverse methods give you opportunities for active and critical participation, and strengthen teamwork and interpersonal skills.
MIHMEP meets experts is an initiative organized by MIHMEP and its Specializations (Global Health and Development, Healthcare Management, Pharmaceuticals and Medical Technologies). Experts from healthcare organizations, industry, regulatory authorities, international organizations, non-governmental organizations and consulting companies share their professional experience with MIHMEP students and give them a flavour of what their future work will be. These meetings are also a great opportunity for the students to expand and strengthen their network.
SDA Bocconi organizes events and meetings throughout the year, both online and offline, where you can interact with directors, faculty, alumni, and staff.
