Public Service Behavioral Lab

PSRCommunity is a project at the SDA School of Management, Bocconi University, Milan, Italy. The project is directed by Professor Greta Nasi. Graduate students and staff at SDA Bocconi help run the project.

PSRCommunity is a university-affiliated, nonprofit project funded by a grant from SDA Bocconi and other resources. Grants and sponsorships support all general operating costs of the project. Contributions and co-sponsorships are always welcome. 

Anyone who is working with a government agency or nonprofit organization can become a panelist. MPA or other students planning a career in public service are also welcome to join.

We encourage you to become a panelist, even if you do not live in Italy.

Just go to the Sign Up page on our website, complete the breif form, and click the submit button. You will then receive an email message asking you to confirm your membership. When you respond to the confirmation email, you are then added to our list.

PSRCommunity sends invitations for survey or studies only about once every month or two, depending on your organization, your location, and other considerations.  As a panelist, you always have the right to choose whether or not to participate in any particular survey or study.

PSRCoomunity surveys and studies focus on issues related to working in government and the nonprofit sector.  Topics may include work experiences, decision making, technology, collaboration, organizational performance, and other topics. Our surveys are sponsored only by legitimate academic researchers.  We will not send you any political, religious, or marketing surveys.  And you always have the right to choose which surveys you want or don’t want to complete.

Feel free to let others who are working in the public and nonprofit sectors know about PSRCommunity (However, please do not send any unsolicited email or SPAM).

The information you provide when you sign up, or when you participate in a survey, is for research purposes only. When you sign up, we collect only limited identifying information that we need to invite you to participate in our surveys, such as your name (so we can personalize our messages to you), email address, and postal code. This information is never sold or given to outside individuals or organizations. When you complete our surveys, we may collect additional demographic information from you such as age, gender, race, and income (in broad categories). This information is used only to classify and compare responses to survey questions and not to identify you individually. We maintain a strict privacy and confidentiality policy in accordance with established standards of ethical survey research.

Only the researchers and staff of PSRCommunity will have access to your sign up information, such as your name and email address. We keep this information in a separate database from the one that contains your answers to survey questions.  Outside groups that use PSRCommunity to do a survey receive only the anonymous answers to survey questions. Your sign up information will always remain confidential.

If your are already a member, go to our signup page to update your email address or other information. Click on the "Already registered" button and simply update your profile with your new email address.

If you submit an Sign-Up Form for an email address that is already on the list, a message will be presented indicating that you are already subscribed.  This message will have a link that, if you click on it, will trigger an email to the email address specified.  Within that email will be a link that allows you to update the details of your profile information.

If you are already on our list and wish to unsubscribe, you can reply to the survey invitation with unsubscribe in the subject line, or simply click on an “unsubscribe” link provided in the invitation email.
