The 25th Anniversary of MCF

On May 23rd, 2025, the Master in Corporate Finance (MCF) celebrated its 25th anniversary.
Around 200 Alumnae/i from all program editions and from across the globe gathered on campus. For many, it was their first time visiting the new premises.

After welcome speeches by the Dean, Professor Stefano Caselli, and Academic Director Federico Pippo, the event unfolded through a series of themed panels:

  • Call Me Founder: Where Innovation Meets Finance
Entrepreneurs and executives from the Italian and European financial sectors discussed the ups and downs of financial innovation in a panel moderated by former Bocconi Rector Gianmario Verona. Unsurprisingly, one recurring theme emerged: for many founders, the search for funding is a dominant part of their day-to-day reality.
  • Middle East: A Thriving Business Hub with Uncharted Opportunities
MCF Founder Maurizio Dallocchio and Director Federico Pippo led a dynamic conversation alongside several distinguished speakers. Highlights included insights from Veronica Squinzi – SDA Bocconi Full-Time MBA alumna, CEO and Global Development Director at Mapei – Flavio Ghiringhelli – Country Manager Italy at Emirates – and Giovanni Bozzetti – President of EFG Consulting. The discussion focused on the rise of the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia and the UAE, as emerging global financial hubs.
  • MCF Alumnae/i Panel
In a more personal session, Maurizio Dallocchio and Community Manager Andrea Benocci interviewed several Italian and international MCF Alumnae/i about their experience in the program and how it shaped their professional journeys. Working across diverse fields – from corporate finance and asset management to private equity, consulting and investment banking – they shared how MCF equipped them with the mindset, skills and networks needed to succeed in global markets.
One provocative question sparked reflection: If they had to choose a Master’s program today, which school would they attend? Many, now parents themselves, shared that they would seriously consider SDA Bocconi for their children’s higher education.
As a token of appreciation, Professor Dallocchio received a silver plate honoring his vision in founding the MCF.

The closing remarks were delivered by Professor Enzo Baglieri, Associate Dean of the Master Division, who reflected on the legacy of the MCF and the challenges ahead.

The event concluded with a networking aperitif on campus – an opportunity to explore the key themes of the day in greater depth and reconnect across generations of MCF Alumnae/i. A strong sense of belonging filled the air, blending memories of the past with a shared commitment to the future: MCFers once, MCFers forever.
