Selection and admissions process

As soon as the selection process is completed, you will receive a formal letter from the Admissions Committee notifying you of the decision. Selection results are never communicated by telephone. All decisions made by the Admissions Committee are final. 

The selection process will result in one of the following outcomes:

• Admission: you will receive the official admission notice along with the participation contract. If all available spots have been filled, the school may place you on a waiting list or offer admission for the following edition.
  Admission to the program is valid for the year the application is submitted. However, you can request deferment for the following year, but approval of deferment is on a case-by-case decision by the Admissions committee.
   
• Non-admission: Admission to the program is highly selective. Our selection process evaluates each candidate’s individual profile while also considering the overall composition of the MBA class, which must be consistent with the quality and diversity the school requires. While we acknowledge the significant effort all candidates invest in the application and the selection process, we do not provide personalized feedback to non-admitted candidates.

Please note that the application portal is a separate platform, so your SDA Bocconi website (www.sdabocconi.it)credentials are not to be used. Please proceed with a new registration.

• Official/original or certified degree certificate/transcript should be uploaded through the Application portal and submitted to the Admissions team.
• Official/original degree certificate/transcripts can also be sent directly by the candidate’s University to admissions.mba@sdabocconi.it
• Applicants may track the arrival of their application and monitor their application status directly on the online application.
• Additional documents can be uploaded after initial application submission.

The MBA applications review runs from September 2025 to July 2026. As soon as we receive your application, we carry out a pre-selection process based on based on the submitted documents. Once pre-selection is complete, we will let you know whether your application can proceed to the selection process. The final selection result will be communicated to you within 12 weeks of receiving a complete application—that is, after all tests have been completed and all required documents have been received.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and, given the high volume of submissions, those received well in advance of the final deadline have a greater chance of admission. Therefore, to maximize your opportunities, we strongly encourage you to apply as early as possible.
