Simona Cuomo is an Associate Professor of Leadership, Organization & Human Resourcesā practice at SDA Bocconi School of Management. She has been the Coordinator of the Diversity & Inclusion & Smart Working Observatory since 2008. Simona is a psychologist and a certificated counselor and coach.Ā
Her research and competenciesĀ focus onĀ social identityĀ (gender, age,Ā disability, etc.), inclusive leadership,Ā practices and policiesĀ to promote inclusive climates (smart working, work & life balance, parenting policies)Ā and issues related to listening to, enhancing and managing people at work (leadership, self leadership, people management, negotiation, public speaking, team management, listening, feedback management and conflict, stress management, emotional intelligence, assertiveness).
She develops and uses creative and experiential methods in both education and coaching.Ā
She has conducted several research projects, workshops, conferences, consultancies, work outs, and multi method-target education. She has done so by developing relationships with major multinational companies in the Italian market in three main sectors: services (Banca Italia, BPM, Accenture, Generali), pharma (Boheringher, Novartis) and manufacturing (Eni, Michelin, NestlĆØ).Ā
She is the author of several books and articles on her topics of interest. Her works have been published in āEconomia & Managementā, āSviluppo & Organizzazioneā, and āECCH Collectionāamong others. She is co-author of theĀ Blog 'Art. 3'. She is a member of many Scientific Commitees and Advisory Boards.
Simona earned first a degree in Political Science, with a specialization in Social Psychology from the UniversitĆ Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan; a degree in Psychology from the UniversitĆ degli Studi Bicocca in Milan; a Master and a Counseling certification from Centro Berne in Milan; a Master and a Coaching certification from the In Coach Academy and an Affiliate coaching qualification from Columbia University.
She is married and she has three children.
