Biografia

Remus Ilies è Professore Ordinario presso il Dipartimento di Management and Tecnology dell'Università Bocconi dal 2021. Precedentemente, è stato Provost’s Chair e Professore Ordinario di Management and Organization presso la National University di Singapore per 10 anni. In precedenza, è stato Gary Valade Research Fellow e Professore di Management presso la Michigan State University, dove ha iniziato la sua carriera accademica come Assistente Professore nel 2003. 

La sua ricerca si concentra sul benessere dei dipendenti, sui processi di lavoro-famiglia, sulle attitudini e sulla leadership e motivazione, con un particolare interesse per la comprensione del ruolo dei processi emotivi nell'explicare gli esiti rilevanti per questi argomenti di ricerca. È autore di numerosi articoli sui suoi argomenti di interesse, i quali sono stati pubblicati, tra gli altri, nel Journal of Applied Psychology, nel Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology e nel Journal of Organizational Behavior. 

Ha ottenuto un MBA presso l'Iowa State University e un Dottorato in Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management presso l'University of Florida.
