The course aims to discuss the drivers of changes and how to successfully respond to new challenges to keep competing in an unstable, unpredictable future.
SDA Bocconi, in partnership with Assolombarda, is actively engaged in creating an international network in the healthcare sector with the goal of developing global alliances in the field of healthcare management and innovation.
The partnership, formalized in a Memorandum of Understanding last September, has a specific initial objective of supporting the growth of healthcare systems in the Gulf region and promoting Italian excellence in the healthcare sector. To achieve this, SDA Bocconi, along with a delegation from Assolombarda, participated in the Global Health Exhibition in Riyadh starting from October 29th.
On this occasion, Francesca Lecci, Associate Professor of Practice in Government, Health, and Not for Profit at SDA Bocconi School of Management, and Director of the Master in Management for Healthcare (MiMS), was invited to contribute to numerous discussions and panel discussions, presenting possible managerial solutions to the challenges that characterize all healthcare systems, particularly those with universal coverage. The discussions covered current topics, such as the possibility of applying Value-Based Healthcare principles in non-market-based healthcare systems and the role of digitization and innovation in service delivery at all stages of healthcare needs. Furthermore, during numerous meetings with policymakers and healthcare service providers, SDA Bocconi presented the contributions it has offered through CeRGAS for over 50 years to the evolution of healthcare systems and the educational offerings for the healthcare sector, including master's programs, executive programs, and expertise in designing and implementing customized programs for physicians, managers, and employees of public and private healthcare facilities.
These efforts have allowed the school to establish relationships and agreements with ministries and institutions in the Gulf, opening up opportunities for collaboration with key stakeholders in a rapidly transforming region where healthcare is at the top of the political and economic agenda.
