Hard times do not stem innovation momentum, they rather power it up. This is one of the beliefs behind the third B4i - Bocconi for Innovation Startup Call, aimed at supporting new entrepreneurial ideas in startups. A concrete strategy to foster the most innovative projects, the quality and strength of the teams that manage them and their ability to match market needs in the three areas of Digital Tech, Made in Italy and Sustainability, coordinated by Massimo Della Ragione, Gabriella Lojacono and Stefano Pogutz, respectively.
Selected startups will receive a 30,000 euro investment each, a four-month acceleration journey including access to a network of services such as legal, accounting, digital marketing and communication packages, as well as sessions with experts and professionals – Bocconi professors and alumni from various regions and industries, entrepreneurs, investors and corporate C-level executives. B4i will also provide selected startups with commercial networks and B2B sales channels as well as low-cost database, cloud and CRM services.
Applications are accepted from 9 November 2020 to 7 January 2021. To access twice-a-year B4i Calls, startup teams must be composed of at least two persons including a student, researcher, alumnus, staff or faculty member of Bocconi, or of partner institutions – Università degli Studi di Milano, Politecnico di Milano and IIT (Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia) – as well as operating partners Plug and Play and Invitalia.
B4i - Bocconi for innovation was born in 2019 with a multiple role of pre-accelerator, venture accelerator and corporate intrapreneurship catalyst. It aims at attracting a maximum amount of entrepreneurial talent, offering a mix of training and resources to develop their projects and creating a hub where entrepreneurs can grow and thoughtfully tackle the market.
