Valter Conca is Senior Professor of Corporate Finance at the SDA Bocconi School of Management where, since 2005, he has been Director of the Private Equity & Finance Laboratory for Growth. As a lecturer, he teaches two courses at the Executive MBA and various business training programs. He was Associate Professor of Economics and Business Management at Bocconi University, where he taught courses of "Business Economics and Business Management" and "Strategic Finance".Ā
At SDA Bocconi, he was Director of Resources Development, Deputy Director of the Finance Area and Director of the Executive Master in Corporate Finance and Banking. For several years he has coordinated numerous catalogue initiatives and worked on national and international projects. He has carried out workshops and research and professional training activities in industrial groups and financial companies; he is usually present as a speaker at numerous internal conferences and at the Order of Chartered Accountants of Milan.
His research has ranged from strategic planning to more specific corporate finance and advisory issues in extraordinary finance transactions. Recent research activities are focused on the management of corporate acquisition and restructuring processes, with particular reference to the analysis of the market for M&A transactions, to the management of relations with institutional and private equity investors, to growth support operations of SMEs.
Valter holds a degree in Business Administration cum laude from Bocconi University, an MBA Fellowship from SDA Bocconi and the ITP (International Teachers Program) diploma from CESA-HEC, is married with three children; he combines reading with an amateur sports activity in skiing and golf.
