Valeria Rappini

Valeria Rappini is Associate Professor of Practice in Government, Health and Not-for-Profit Organisations at SDA Bocconi School of Management.

At SDA Bocconi, she is the Director of the Observatory on Private Healthcare Expenditure (OCPS) and of the Healthcare Marketing and Service Management Programme. She teaches on the Executive Master’s in Management of Healthcare and Social Care Organisations (EMMAS) and is Co-Director of the Prevention Academy and the Executive Programme in Management of Brain Health. In 2024, she directed the FNO Advanced Course in Healthcare Management at the FNO TSRM PSTRP Academy. She has managed research and training projects for leading healthcare organisations and international institutions.

Her research focuses primarily on the healthcare sector. She has addressed numerous management issues relating to organisations in this sector, such as the introduction of planning and control systems in public healthcare organisations, organisational design, and innovation and marketing in healthcare and social care services. Since 2012, she has been working on policy and management issues in the healthcare sector, with a focus on private healthcare expenditure.

She is the author of numerous essays and articles on the topics she has addressed. Her work has been published in journals such as Economia & Management and Mecosan. She contributes to the OASI Report and is the editor of the OCPS Report published by SDA Bocconi.

She has been a Visiting Professor at the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE) and the Universidad Católica de Córdoba (UCC). She is a member of several evaluation panels at public healthcare institutions in Italy and abroad.

Valeria holds a degree in Economics and Business from the University of Bologna. She also holds a diploma in Painting from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts.
