Alexander Maximilian Hiedemann is a Lecturer in Government, Health, and Not-for-Profit at SDA Bocconi School of Management and Assistant Director of the CYBER Bachelor's Degree Course – Cyber Risk Strategy and Governance at Bocconi University.
Since his arrival in 2015, he has managed research and training programs with leading public administrations at both the national level (Local Authorities, Public Companies, Pension Institutes, Central Administrations) and the international level (governmental and non-governmental organizations), including EMMIO, the Executive Master in Management of International Organizations (since 2015). In the academic year 2018/19, he served as the Director of the Master of Public Administration (MPA).
He is the lead instructor for courses (open market and custom) on Operation and Risk Management, Process Reengineering, Supply Chain in humanitarian aid, and, within EMMAP, the Executive Master in Management of Public Administrations, for the module abroad on "Comparative Public Management and European Institutions." He has developed online courses and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), such as the course "Management of International Development: Towards Agenda 2030" offered by Bocconi University. Additionally, he serves as a Faculty Member of Project Management at SDA Bocconi Asia Center.
He has implemented executive training programs and conducted research for numerous public institutions at both the national and international levels. His research focuses on Operations Management in public administration and international institutions. Recently, he has participated in research groups related to Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030), synergistic application of "Lean" and "Nudge" logics, digital growth, and the evolution of humanitarian intervention management models.

Alexander holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration and International Institutions Economics from the University of Ferrara and a Master of Science CLAPI - Economics and Management of Public Administration and International Institutions from Bocconi University. Currently, he is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Economics and Management of Innovation and Sustainability (EMIS) Ph.D. program at the University of Ferrara in collaboration with the University of Parma.
