Main Goal

The recent developments in the corporate governance field have brought new challenges for both executive and non-executive directors. Within the international business dynamics, governance roles and responsibilities entail a strong accountability characterized by a "sustainable success" orientation, besides requiring a proper dialogue with several stakeholders. The role of board of directors – as the ultimate corporate constituency responsible for business activities – is changing considerably, requiring directors to continuous pursue education efforts and discussion around foundational and emerging topics.

The International Board Program course proposes a solution to update and enhance one's governance, management oversight, and leadership skills. It represents an opportunity for participants of large listed companies to enrich their knowledge with elements, both intrinsic and unfolding, to further develop their governance and leadership skills required for sustainable expansion and long-term business success.
The course therefore provides directors with a total of 16 interactive and multifaced lectures from faculty members of two of the most recognized European Business Schools: SDA Bocconi and University of St. Gallen. Additional networking opportunities and guest speakers will provide the perfect environment for past-paced learning.

Who Is It For

The International Board Program is aimed at governance actors of global private companies in which the issue of a sophisticated and open governance also becomes particularly critical as a function of possible company decisions and strategies.
The program is particularly aimed at large private corporations’ board members, executives, general managers, and key shareholders facing strategic situations ranging from international expansion – both organic and inorganic growth – to development of risk management systems, compensation plans and corporate sustainability strategies.
While there will be sessions on key long-term trends such as generative artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and sustainability practices, foundational aspects such as governance structures, effective boardroom processes, and interactions within boards are also part of the program.
