MPA Dual Degree Arrangement with the Kazakhstani Academy of Public Administration

The SDA Bocconi School of Management signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on a dual degree with the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (the Academy) in 2015. This MOU allows SDA Bocconi to host Master students from the Academy for a year to join the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program, and award them the MPA degree as their second Master’s degree. SDA Bocconi received the first dual degree student from the Academy in October 2016. The dual degree students from Kazakhstan benefit through networking, professional and personal development, and services provided under the MPA, and will contribute to the achievement and implementation of the “Kazakhstan Strategy 2050” after successful graduation from the Academy and SDA Bocconi. The Academy primarily offers Masters and PhD programs for civil servants of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Academy also provides executive education and civil service training for government agencies in Kazakhstan.

The candidates are eligible to receive the Bolashak International scholarship from the Kazakh Government to join the MPA program at SDA Bocconi under the MOU.

MPA Dual Degree Arrangement with the KDI School of Public Policy and Management, Republic of Korea

The SDA Bocconi School of Management has re-signed an MOU on a dual degree with the KDI School of Public Policy and Management (KDI School) of the Republic of Korea in 2015. This MOU allows SDA Bocconi to host Master students from the KDI School for a year to join the Master of Public Administration (MPA) and Executive Master of Management of International Organizations (EMMIO) programs respectively, and award them their second Master’s degree. SDA Bocconi received the first dual degree students from the KDI School who joined the EMMIO program in 2015 and MPA program in 2016.

The dual degree students from the Republic of Korea benefit through networking, professional and personal development services provided under the MPA and EMMIO programs, and will contribute to Korea’s efforts to address public sector challenges and strengthen the partnership between Italy and Korea in the education sector.

The Korean candidates study at SDA Bocconi with a sponsorship from the Korean Government and are considered government scholars.

MPA Dual Degree Arrangement with the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA)

The SDA Bocconi School of Management signed a MOU with the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) to host GIPA Master students in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Milan, Italy, starting from 2017. The MOU allows GIPA Master students to obtain an MPA degree from SDA Bocconi with admission criteria and requirements set under the partnership. The Georgian candidates will apply to the MPA through GIPA.

GIPA provides bachelors’ and masters’ programs as well as training courses for the public servants of Georgia in the spheres of public affairs, local governance, journalism, international affairs and law, alongside a PhD program in social sciences. During the signing ceremony of the MOU, the Rector of the GIPA, Dr. Maka Ioseliani, stated that both the GIPA and SDA Bocconi share the same values to prepare future public sector leaders and managers who can contribute to raising standards of governance in Europe and Caucasus regions. The President of Georgia, Mr. Giorgi Margvelashvili, and distinguished ambassadors of the European Union, Italy and USA witnessed the occasion at the GIPA on 23 February 2017.
