Bringing together alumni, faculty and students for three days of dialogue, learning and connection on the future of leadership and innovation.
For the first time in its history, Bocconi University hosts Homecoming 2025, an unprecedented event that brings its global community back together to celebrate a shared legacy and look ahead to the future.
From 16 to 18 October, the University becomes a hub of ideas and encounters, as alumni from around the world gather to come “Back home. Impact the future.”
The initiative marks a milestone for Bocconi, reaffirming its role as a place where knowledge, innovation and collaboration converge to shape progress. Over three days, participants join talks, masterclasses and reunions designed to reconnect alumni and explore new perspectives on the evolving world of business, finance and society.
At the heart of the event, SDA Bocconi School of Management curates a program that mirrors the School’s key areas of excellence, from finance to leadership, from strategy to digital transformation and innovation, from entrepreneurship to sustainability and arts. With around 4,000 participants across a broad range of events, classrooms and auditoriums become meeting places for ideas that reflect the School’s interdisciplinary vision and its ability to anticipate change.
16 October – Finance, leadership and the global outlook
The series opens with "Future Talk | International Scenario", featuring Sylvie Goulard, Professor of Practice in Global Affairs at SDA Bocconi and IEP@BU Vice President, Carlo Altomonte, Associate Professor of Economics at Bocconi University and Associate Dean for Stakeholder Engagement Programs at SDA Bocconi, and Mario Nava, Visiting Professor at Bocconi University, exploring the geopolitical and economic forces shaping tomorrow’s global order.
It continues with "Future Talks | The Banking Risk" with Stefano Caselli, Dean of SDA Bocconi, and Claudio Costamagna, Founder and Chairman at CC & Soci S.r.l. & Alumnus of the Year 2024, which examines how M&A activity, market volatility and regulatory shifts are transforming the banking landscape.
Finance and innovation meet in "Future Talk | The Evolution of Money: From Fiat Money to Open-Source Money", with Giampaolo Gabbi, Professor of Risk Management Practice, Director of Financial Institutions Programs within the CFI Division and Director of the Finance Department at SDA Bocconi, and Leonardo De Rossi, Lecturer in Leadership, Organization and Digital Technologies at SDA Bocconi, followed by the "Masterclass in Organizational Behavior" with Fabrizio Castellucci, Associate Professor of Management & Technology at Bocconi University, which explores the dynamics of teamwork, networks and change within organizations.
Later in the afternoon, "The Future Won’t Wait: A Conversation with Stefano Caselli" brings leadership to the fore, drawing from Caselli’s recent book and his dialogue with Alessandro Profumo, Chairman of Rialto VC.
17 October – Technology, strategy and the future of business
The day opens with "Future Talk | AI and Business: Is There Still Room for the Human?", featuring Diego Piacentini, Investor, Advisor and former Executive at Apple and Amazon & Bocconi Alumnus of the Year 2010, and Gianmario Verona, Fondazione Romeo ed Enrica Invernizzi Professor of Innovation Management at Bocconi University & Chairman of Fondazione Human Technopole. The conversation explores how to govern artificial intelligence without losing sight of creativity, ethics and human sensitivity.
"Masterclass on Market Abuse Regulation" with Marco Ventoruzzo, Full Professor of Corporate Law at Bocconi University and SDA Bocconi, offers a comparative look at insider trading between the U.S. and Europe, while "Masterclass in Art Market and Finance" with Andrea Rurale, Director of the Master in Arts Management and Administration (MAMA) at SDA Bocconi, and Carlo Bronzini Vender, Partner and Co-Founder at CapM Advisors, connects the art world with financial insight. "Masterclass in Competitive Strategy" with Marco Tortoriello, Full Professor at the Department of Management and Technology at Bocconi University, highlights the capabilities needed to build and sustain a lasting advantage in a fast-evolving global environment.
The focus then shifts to innovation and health with "Future Talk | AI for Health", where Monica Otto, Associate Professor of Practice in the Government, Health and Not-for-Profit Area & Director of Executive Education in Health, Government and Non-Profit at SDA Bocconi, and Riccardo Zecchina, Professor of Computing Sciences, explore how artificial intelligence is transforming healthcare systems and reinforcing Europe’s leadership in research. A theme that continues with "Future Talk | Financing the Future of the Space Economy" featuring Simonetta Di Pippo, Professor of Practice in Space Economy & Director of the Space Economy Evolution Lab at SDA Bocconi, and Maurizio Dallocchio, Professor of Corporate Finance at Bocconi University and SDA Bocconi, who examine how investment models and public-private partnerships are driving the next frontier of space exploration.
The day also celebrates an important milestone with "10 Years of MAMA – Art and Cultural Management: New Frontiers", chaired by MAMA Directors Alex Turrini, Andrea Rurale and Piergiacomo Mion Dalle Carbonare. The session reflects on a decade of cultural leadership and brings together international voices from leading art institutions to discuss the evolving role of creativity and management in the cultural sector.
Finally, the day includes the "DBA Reunion", a moment of reconnection for doctoral alumni, who return to share experiences, professional paths and a renewed sense of belonging to the SDA Bocconi community.
18 October – Insight, innovation and celebration
The final day of Homecoming opens with "Research, Rethink, Reimagine: SDA Bocconi Between Roots and Horizons", featuring Dean Stefano Caselli alongside the Associate Deans Enzo Baglieri, Rossella Cappetta, Leonardo Caporarello, Paola Cillo, Emanuela Prandelli and Veronica Vecchi, with the participation of Alberto Grando, former Dean of SDA Bocconi. The session offers a powerful reflection on the School’s identity, vision and future, tracing its evolution from its origins to today’s strategic challenges and new horizons.
The morning continues with the "Clubs Presentation", where students showcase SDA Bocconi’s 12 clubs, spanning professional growth, social impact and sports & leisure and embodying the School’s spirit of initiative, collaboration and community in action.
The afternoon shines a spotlight on innovation and leadership with "Masterclass on AI in Managerial Decision-Making" led by Alfonso Gambardella, Full Professor, Department of Management and Technology at Bocconi University, exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping decision-making and performance management, and "Masterclass on Luxury Experiences" with Emanuela Prandelli, Associate Professor at the Department of Management and Technology, LVMH Associate Professor of Fashion and Luxury Management at Bocconi University and Associate Dean for Open Programs at SDA Bocconi, which examines how heritage, innovation and emotional engagement are redefining the meaning of luxury.
Also part of the day’s program, "Let’s Negotiate: A Conversation with Leonardo Caporarello" sees Leonardo Caporarello, Associate Dean for Online Learning and Professor of Practice of Leadership and Negotiation at SDA Bocconi, present his book “Successful Negotiation” in conversation with Francesca Coloni, Chief Operating Officer at Citi. The exchange highlights negotiation as a strategic skill for leadership and collaboration.
The momentum culminates in the "MBA Reunion 2025", featuring contributions from Vincenzo Baglieri, Associate Dean for Master Division at SDA Bocconi, Francesco Billari, Rector of Bocconi University, Dean Stefano Caselli, Stephen Coticoni, Country Manager BNP Paribas Real Estate Advisory & Property Management and CEO BNP Paribas Real Estate Advisory Italy S.p.A., Carlo Gelfo, Executive Member of the Board at M23 & Non-Executive Director at AAG LLC Italy and Qatar, Mario Monti, President of Istituto Javotte Bocconi, and Mario Nava, Director-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, European Commission.
