Competition Regulations

General Rules

  • Participants will be governed by specific clauses of the Bocconi Code of Conduct for Faculty and
    Students, Code of Academic Integrity and Code of Proper Use of Electronic Resources

  • Participants are responsible for their belongings and the university or the organising team will not be
    responsible for the loss or destruction of any participant’s personal property

  • The university holds the right to share participant information including CVs to sponsors and
    associated companies

  • Industry representatives from the sponsoring companies may select candidates with profiles interesting to them for interviews


Competition Specific Rules

  • Participants must report on time at the specified venue for each event and its component events.
    Attendance of each part of the competition is mandatory

  • Participants will be judged based on accuracy, cogency of arguments, presentation skills and time management

  • The verdict of judges is final and non-negotiable

  • Participants must adhere to the dress code. Competition dress code: Business Formal

Team Specific Rules

  • Each team must comprised of five individuals

  • Each team must have at least one female participant

  • Maximum one team per school can participate in the event

  • At least one individual with prior investment experience is recommended

  • All team members are required to submit their CVs for the purpose of creating a CV book

Competition Format

  • Registered teams must hand in their valuation in a Microsoft Excel document named “IFC_the name of
    the participant’s university”

  • At SDA Bocconi in Milan each team will be given additional information to enhance their work
    qualitatively (time limit: 3 hours)

  • The teams will then individually pitch to the judges a compressed presentation (time limit: 15 min and Q&A session 15 min)
