The participating schools, together with the SDA Bocconi team, are Alliance Manchester Business School, Chinese University of Hong Kong, ESADE (Spain), ESMT Berlin, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, HEC Paris, Henley Business School (UK), HKUST Business School (Hong Kong), INSEAD (France), London Business School, LUISS Business School (Italy), Desautels Faculty of Management-McGill University (Canada) and University St.Gallen. Each team will be represented by 5 MBA students.

The teams will work on a case study developed by the sponsor companies and will then present their work to a jury composed of SDA professors and representatives of Bain & Company, Edison and Lazard. The finalists will then go into another round with a prize of 5,000 euro for the winning team.

“The event brings together some of the best international business schools and challenges students to solve a real life investment case. The first edition last year, reserved to European schools, was very successful and this year we have opened participation also to schools from Asia and North America,” explains Andrea Di Carlo, President of the Finance Club of the MBA at SDA Bocconi. “The Competition is also a unique opportunity for its moments of networking among students and between students and professionals of the world of finance.”

"It is a great satisfaction to see the second edition of the competition. A truly international event with prestigious schools that are hosted in our programme,” explains Stefano Gatti, Full-Time MBA Director at SDA Bocconi. “It is a clear example of the great organizing ability of our students and the co-design of the MBA programme by the students themselves.”

“Edison renews with pleasure its collaboration with SDA Bocconi to bring to Milan studnets from some of the best international management schools and to further enhance their study path,” states Giovanni Brianza, Director of Strategic planning and M&A at Edison. “This year the teams will discuss the business case of a company that is relaunching itself by selling to its customers energy and innovative services . After the success of the first edition, we challenge the students to continue to surprise us by proposing new approaches and solutions.”
