Launch of the first simulation to identify and manage IT risks.

Adverse situations involving corporate information systems reduce the value attributed to a company by the market. Therefore finding a managerial approach to the management of risks associated with the use of Information Technology is fundamental. Now for the first time there is IT Risk Simulation, a business case simulation developed by SDA Bocconi Learning Lab, in collaboration with Gianluca Salviotti, SDA Professor of Information Systems and IS Risk Management Program Coordinator.

By analysing case studies of major IT disasters, IT Risk Simulation helps participants identify risks to business information systems, in order to avoid or resolve them.

"Every choice concerning the set-up and operation of information systems carries, by its nature, an element of risk. IT Risk Simulation increases the effectiveness of learning through its multimedia interaction features", says Gianluca Salviotti. " IT Risk Simulation was created to encourage participants to analyse the many aspects that should be taken into account when approaching the management of IT risks. The simulation immediately places participants in critical situations that may occur as a result of a failure to identify IT risks."
