Bill Clark is responsible for Cybersecurity Strategy, Planning, and Governance at Chevron Corporation. He designed and instituted Chevron’s Cyber Intelligence Centers in the United States and Asia, that today provide a 24/7 intelligence-driven threat monitoring and incident response capability for global IT and OT operations. More recently, he oversaw the redesign of an enterprise-wide cybersecurity program in line with a major corporate digital transformation.
Prior to his current role, Bill spent over a decade as a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State assigned to a global role developing and fortifying the technical and physical security posture of U.S. assets. He was assigned to 30 different countries across six continents. At the Department, he led innovative teams of highly skilled cyber threat analysts in network forensics, malware reverse engineering, and specialized monitoring and remediation efforts. Additionally, his work took him to national level task forces and international working groups, covering policy matters relating to both internal and external threat prevention and detection.
His private sector experience also includes designing and implementing enterprise-wide cybersecurity operations and threat intelligence for a regional retail and financial services conglomerate in South America. He has extensive experience in working with governments and private sector entities regarding cyber threats, insider threats, technical strategy, and establishing superior defensive programs that enable business operations.
