Dal 2000 al 2004 è stato Direttore del corso di laurea in Economia Politica (CLE) e del corso di laurea in Discipline Economiche e Sociali (DES) presso l'Università Bocconi.

E’ stato visiting professor presso l’Università di Stanford e l’Università di Lugano, e visiting scholar presso la London School of Economics e Melbourne University.
