Italy as an international education hub to support Africa's sustainable future

Format Face to face
Language ENGLISH
Location Piazza Sraffa, 13 - Velodromo, Aula N06

The role of higher education is taking on a greater importance in building a more sustainable future, due to the world’s increasing urbanization and industrialization as well as the rapid depletion of non-renewable resources. Today Africa is experiencing a massive and exponential growth in terms of population and economy, with very large consequences in terms of environment society. Thus, the continent’s sustainable development should be perceived as a global priority, rather than a local issue.

Nowadays, the challenges that Africa’s higher education system is facing are still considerable, although there are several positive developments across the continent.

The aim of this workshop, organized in collaboration with Enel Foundation, is to give an overview of the continent’s higher education system and to highlight the crucial role that Italy can play as a leading education hub for African students.

The event is free upon registration.
