Challenges for the European space governance

Format Online
Language ENGLISH
Location Diretta Streaming

The European space governance debate started in the beginning of 2000’s, when the political relevance of outer space became more evident to political decision makers. Europe is still largely shaped by national policies that lead towards a vertical and horizontal fragmentation.

Space activities are pursued by various nations and space agencies'strategies, different European organisations and institutions, with an overlap of skills, management and programs. The webinar discusses mechanisms and policy actions underlying the competitiveness of the European space industries at global level. The debate gives a comprehensive overview of current governance issues and the causes of the European space market fragmentation.

The event is free upon registration.
