Biografia

Raffaella Piccarreta è Professoressa Associata di Statistica presso l'Università Bocconi. È membro di Dondena (Centro di Ricerca sulla Dinamica Sociale e le Politiche Pubbliche), di BIDSA (Bocconi Institute for Data Science and Analytics) e del CovidCrisis Lab (Laboratorio per la Ricerca sulla Crisi del Coronavirus). È anche membro della SIS (Società Italiana di Statistica) e della SAA (Sequence Analysis Association), nonché uno dei membri del Comitato Esecutivo della SAA. 

Il suo lavoro si concentra sull'analisi dei dati, con particolare attenzione allo studio delle traiettorie e degli eventi nel corso della vita. Ha un interesse specifico per l'Analisi delle Sequenze, una tecnica finalizzata a identificare modelli in dati longitudinali categorici, nonché per tutti gli approcci per trattare questo tipo di dati. È coautrice di diversi articoli focalizzati su dati diversi, con recenti contributi relativi ai dati su COVID-19. È autrice di numerosi articoli sui suoi argomenti di interesse, pubblicati su riviste come il Journal of Epidemiology, Studies in Classification, Data Analysis and Knowledge Organization e Studies in Classification, Data Analysis and Knowledge Organization, tra gli altri. 

Ha conseguito una Laurea in Economia e Scienze Sociali (DES) presso l'Università Bocconi e un Dottorato in Statistica presso l'Università di Trento.
