Paola Schwizer

Biografia

Paola Schwizer è Affiliate Professor di Banking and Insurance presso SDA Bocconi School of Management. È Professoressa Ordinaria di Economia degli intermediari finanziari dell’Università di Parma, dove insegna Risk management e creazione del valore nelle banche (in inglese) e E-Banking.

Presso SDA Bocconi, è creatrice e direttrice del programma educativo “Board Practice”, volto a favorire la crescita professionale di amministratori indipendenti e non esecutivi. Ha diretto numerosi programmi formativi per alcune delle maggiori banche italiane.

Le sue ricerche si concentrano su corporate governance, internal governance e risk governance. Attualmente, si sta dedicando allo studio di cinque filoni fondamentali: sostenibilità e finanza sostenibile; regolamentazione bancaria e finanziaria; cultura del rischio nelle banche; corporate governance e controlli interni; creazione del valore nelle banche.

Autrice di libri e articoli che riguardano i temi da lei trattati. I suoi lavori sono stati pubblicati su journal importanti quali Journal of Banking and Finance, The European Journal of Finance, Bancaria e International Journal of Regulation and Governance. Ha vinto numerosi premi per la sua attività di didattica e professionale. È membro del Collegio dei Docenti del Corso di Dottorato in Economia e management dell’innovazione e della sostenibilità delle Università di Parma e Ferrara e vice presidente del Corso di Studi in Finanza e Risk Management dell'Università di Parma. È stata Presidente di Nedcommunity, Associazione italiana degli amministratori non esecutivi e indipendenti, e membro del board di ecoDa, The European Confederation of Directors’ Associations. E' componente di consigli di amministrazione di società bancarie e non finanziarie quotate e consulente di imprese e istituzioni in materia di corporate governance e gestione bancaria e finanziaria.

Paola ha conseguito la Laurea in Economia e Commercio presso l'Università Bocconi e un ITP (International Teachers Programme) presso la Kellogs School of Management di Chicago. È sposata con due figlie.
