Biografia

Myrian Mariani è Full Professor di Applied Economics e Direttore del programma MSc EMIT - Economics and Management of Innovation and Technology presso l'Università Bocconi.È Associate Program Chair del Knowledge and Innovation IG della Strategic Management Society. 

Il suo lavoro si concentra sul Welfare e Social Innovation, con particolare attenzione alle motivazioni lavorative degli inventori e alla trasmissione di conoscenze durante il processo inventivo. Le sue ricerche più recenti esaminano gli effetti della sovrapproduzione e della flessibilità temporale sulle carriere delle donne. Indaga anche sul motivo per cui ci sono così poche donne nell'ambito dell'innovazione e sui processi attraverso i quali scelgono di entrare o uscire dalla professione inventiva. È autrice di numerosi articoli sui suoi argomenti di interesse, pubblicati, tra gli altri, nel Strategic Management Journal, Management Science e Academy of Management Journal. 

Ha conseguito un Dottorato presso l'Università Politecnica delle Marche e ha completato un fellowship post-dottorato Marie Curie di due anni presso il MERIT (Maastricht Economic Research Institute on Innovation and Technology).
