Biografia
Jérôme Frans Adda è Professore di Economia presso l'Università Bocconi dal 2014. Prima di questo incarico, è stato Professore presso l’European University Institute (Firenze) e Professore presso l'University College London. È stato anche visiting Associate Professor presso il dipartimento di Economics di Berkeley nel 2006-07.
I suoi interessi di ricerca includono l'Economia della Salute, l'Economia del Lavoro e la Macroeconomia. I suoi principali interventi riguardano gli effetti delle politiche pubbliche sul comportamento in materia di salute, l'analisi della diffusione delle malattie, i legami tra reddito e salute, il ruolo del capitale umano nelle scelte di carriera e nella crescita salariale nel corso della vita. Molti dei suoi articoli sono stati pubblicati su riviste come il Journal of Political Economy, l'American Economic Review, il Quarterly Journal of Economics, la Review of Economic Studies, la Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, nonché su riviste in altre discipline. È stato direttore editoriale della Review of Economic Studies tra il 2013 e il 2017 e ha ricoperto nuovamente questa carica nel 2021.
Ha conseguito il Dottorato in Economics presso l'Università di Parigi (Sorbonne) dopo aver studiato Biology presso AgroParisTech e Economics and Statistics presso l'ENSAE di Parigi.
