Biografia

Hans Brechbül è Associate Professor of Practice presso SDA Bocconi School of Management, dove porta avanti iniziative aziendali e dove insegna e svolge ricerca su argomenti quali digital transformation, information security ed il loro impatto organizzativo. Presso SDA Bocconi è Direttore dei laboratori di Digital Strategies e di Corporate Information Security, entrambe iniziative dedicate a grandi aziende europee e americane.

Il suo ambito di ricerca si concentra sulla digital transformation e sul cambiamento delle organizzazioni, sul ruolo di CIO, CDO e corporate IT nelle grandi aziende, e sulle sfide relative alla sicurezza delle informazioni in un ambiente di lavoro interconnesso. Dal 2012 presta attività come giudice per i CIO 100 Awards, e tra il 2014 ed il 2016 è stato membro del Global Agenda Council on the Future of Software & Society del World Economic Forum. È membro della faculty del Centro per le Digital Strategies alla Tuck School of Business e dell'Institute for Security, Technology and Society del Dartmouth College.

È stato Direttore Esecutivo del Centro per le Digital Strategies e Professore Aggiunto alla Tuck School of Business di Dartmouth dal 2000 al 2018, dove, tra altre responsabilità, ha diretto iniziative volte alla collaborazione con altri enti, stabilendo relazioni con aziende europee ed americane nella Global 1000. Ha inoltre fondato e diretto per dieci anni i corsi executive in Business Engagement ed Information Security. Prima della Tuck lavorava nel mondo delle aziende, in qualità di VP, Global Partnerships per un .com e Group VP of Corporate development per Metromedia International Telecommunications, Inc. Prima di Metromedia, è stato Managing Director del William Davidson Institute presso l'Università del Michigan Ross School of Business e, in una vita precedente, ha svolto servizio come ufficiale dell'intelligence dell'esercito degli Stati Uniti per dieci anni, dove ha comandato alcune unità tattiche sulla cortina di ferro in europa.

Hans ha conseguito un master's degree presso l'Università di Harvard ed un bachelor's degree in ingegneria presso la U.S. Military Academy di West Point; è un ex studente del corso executive del Global Leadership Program dell'Università del Michigan ed un diplomato del Defense Language Institute di Monterrey. Parla fluentemente tedesco e tedesco svizzero, ha dimestichezza con russo e francese e sta migliorando il suo italiano. Hans è stato membro del board di due scuole steineriane per un totale di 13 anni.
