Sustainability Across the Portfolio
Sustainability at SDA Bocconi is a research commitment that translates directly into the classroom. Faculty from dedicated research centers work at the frontier of environmental, social, and governance themes, and that knowledge flows into programs at every level.

MBA
The Full-Time MBA integrates sustainability across both Core sessions (Foundational Pillars) and Concentrations: around 40% of the program addresses ESG topics. The experience opens with Global Scenarios, a module that frames the challenges of sustainability from day one. Beyond the curriculum, students engage through business projects, company visits, and social entrepreneurship initiatives that connect academic frameworks to real-world impact.
This commitment extends across the broader MBA portfolio through the Executive MBA (EMBA), which includes dedicated courses on sustainability and ESG topics as well as a specific concentration, and the Global Executive MBA (GEMBA), where ESG challenges are explored from an international and cross-market perspective, covering sustainability, social impact, and ESG transformation while offering exposure to emerging-market approaches and global sustainability challenges.
Specialized Masters
Sustainability, Diversity & Inclusion, and Governance are central across SDA Bocconi’s Specialized Masters portfolio.
This commitment translates into mandatory ESG-related content in nearly all programs, ensuring that students develop competencies in sustainable development, inclusive leadership, ethical decision-making, and responsible governance.
Alongside this integration, SDA Bocconi also offers a fully dedicated program: the Master in Sustainability Management (MSM), a pathway for professionals who want to lead ESG strategy, combining rigorous academic grounding with applied project work.
Executive Education
The school's executive portfolio, spanning open programs on campus and online as well as custom engagements, translates frontier research into leadership competencies. SDA Bocconi builds sustainability literacy at the organizational level, working with individual participants and corporate partners alike.
Through this integrated approach, SDA Bocconi aims to equip current and future leaders with the mindset, tools, and strategic capabilities needed to generate sustainable impact across industries and geographies.
