1. Why did you choose the SDA Bocconi MFB?

I have been always involved in the food business but never actually worked in it. When I was looking for an experience abroad, I found MFB perfect to specialize in the sector by studying in a country with one of the richest food heritages in the world.

3. How did MFB contribute to your personal and professional life?

Thanks to MFB and the network it provided, I was able to change sectors and start working at Eataly in Milan, a dream come true. This unique work experience was extremely valuable when looking for a job back in Brazil. More than that, the friends I made and the experiences I had during MFB made this year one of the best of my life.

4. To whom would you recommend the MFB program to?

People passionate about the food sector that want to dig deeper in the business, change jobs or just experience Italian excellence in food making.

Professionally, it gave me opportunity to work in Italy and enrich my knowledge about the industry, especially Italian food and wine specialties. Personally, there was so much fun with a group of international friends who share the same passion and live a whole-year food experience together, just unforgettable.

4. To whom would you recommend the MFB program to?

I recommend MFB to people who want to start or boost their managerial roles in the food and beverage industry. With some passion and working experience, MFB will be more enriching!

I have always wanted to work in the food industry and in particular, the Italian food industry. I wanted to work for companies that are key players of the industry in my country and collaborate to help them grow abroad.
Thanks to the MFB, I acquired the necessary tools to accomplish my goal.

3. How did MFB contribute to your personal and professional life?

The MFB was the turning point of my professional and personal life. I had little working experience in the fashion industry and with the MFB I was able to clearly understand what my professional path could be in the future.
Two days after graduation, I started my current job and I am plenty satisfied with my choice.

4. To whom would you recommend the MFB program to?

I would recommend the program to anyone with a passion for food . Even with little work experience, if you are really passionate and ready to start a new adventure the MFB is what you need.

I wanted to work in the Food & Beverage industry and to do so I needed a Master of Management in that specific field. SDA Bocconi has a strong reputation and excellent faculty and was the perfect choice.

3. How did MFB contribute to your personal and professional life?

MFB has been the turning point of my career, it gave me a perfect knowledge combination: deep academic preparation from lessons and real managerial insights from company visits.
After the Master, I have always worked in the F&B industry, from Italian companies to multinationals. I would not be where I am today without MFB’s boost.

4. To whom would you recommend the MFB program to?

I would recommend both to those who have never worked in the F&B industry and want to have the right tools (like myself) and vice versa to those who have already worked in the F&B industry and want to enrich business knowledge.

I enriched my personal life by meeting a lot of new people from all over the world. I had the opportunity to discover new cultures and to create new friendships. From a professional point of view, I learned how to approach problems and possibilities and how to analyze them from different points of view. Moreover, I had the opportunity to learn from many incredible professionals in the F&B world, and to enlarge my network.

I would recommend the MFB first of all to people that already have some experience in the F&B world and want to learn more about the incredible and huge world of F&B. Also, I would recommend to those people that are passionate and ready to challenge themselves and to change their professional lives.

1. Why did you choose the SDA Bocconi MFB?

I decided to attend MFB as food and beverage is my passion since I was a child. I am the 4th generation in the family bakery business so it was almost obvious to go ahead with that. path Anyway, F&B is the only industry I would work it, I like to see the products moving from the shelves and to better market them.

2. Describe your MFB in three words

Experience, Network, Improvement.
MFB was a great opportunity to visit many companies around Italy and for this reason it was an experience I will remember for my entire life. I have to say, I have used many connections from the F&B and I still use now to increase my network and improve my skills as well.

MFB opens your mind as you are in a group of people coming from all over in the world and you establish friendships. In professional terms, I should thank MFB as I immediately jumped into the F&B industry from the right door and in the right way.

It sounded like the perfect combination for my future career, as I was going from banking to a F&B family business. It had a great combination of an MBA style program focused on food.

It was the kickoff for my new career as CFO of a family business back in Mexico. It gave me some insight into what the F&B industry means in terms of importance, trends, and size.

Mainly to people with little experience, as most of the students in the program have limited work experience. It would be more interesting and challenging for them. And maybe also to people who want to change industries and want to understand what real Italian food is all about.
