C-Suite Forum
The EMF C-suite Forum is an opportunity for dialogue and interaction on the phenomenon of business innovation with the top management of leading corporations and financial institutions representing the specializations of the Executive Master in Finance.
Its objective is to foster a debate on business innovation, reflect on its underlying drivers, and explore how its impacts are managed within companies.
The event takes the form of a discussion panel attended by EMF participants, who will engage in a Q&A session. Additional engagement takes place through preparatory studies, carried out in direct collaboration with participating companies, which culminate in a group report on business innovation across the relevant industries.

Design Philosophy
Why discuss Finance and Technology for value creation?
Technology, strategic architecture, governance models, leadership styles, and the hard skills of talent are some of the levers companies use to innovate and reinvent themselves in order to create sustainable value.
Implementing new and adaptable business models is a critical success factor for pursuing effective strategies capable of achieving corporate goals and ensuring long-term value creation.
How?
The class, gathered around the worktable in an interactive format (Forum), will discuss the initiative’s main topics with the support of moderators and technical tools provided during the program.
Key questions include:
- Does the evolution of the regulatory framework facilitate or hinder technological innovation within Corporates and Financial Institutions?
- What are the challenges and opportunities for finance in managing technology within businesses across the EMF specialization tracks?
- What are the expected short- and long-term costs and benefits of implementing technological innovation?
- How does technology influence corporate financing decisions?
- What are the main implications of integrating technological innovation into the transformation of business models and value chains?
- These are some of the questions that EMF C-Suite Forum class will explore.
What is the goal?
Through this initiative, the EMF team aims to gather and understand the visions and challenges highlighted by the C-suite of Corporates and Financial Institutions regarding how technological innovation is influencing finance, strategy, and the management of successful companies—also considering its role within the broader value chain.
The EMF C-Suite Forum constitutes the final part of the EMF project work, in which participants are involved through preparatory studies conducted also via direct interaction with participating companies. These activities lead to the development of a group report on Finance and Technology for Value Creation within the relevant industries.
Specifically, the EMF project work consists of three phases:
EMF Assignment
Conducted within the courses Innovation in Finance Lab and Strategic Finance Lab, these assignments represent the preparatory work for the EMF C-Suite Forum and are presented to launch the participants’ activities.
EMF C-Suite Forum
During the Forum, the C-suite representatives of participating companies will debate the various topics under investigation.
EMF C-Suite Report – Finance and Technology for Value Creation
A document summarizing the key insights and outcomes emerging from the discussion Forum.

L’EMF C-Suite Forum costituisce la fase conclusiva del project work EMF. Il percorso integra i contenuti dei corsi curriculari Strategic Finance e Artificial Intelligence for Finance con l’analisi di aziende reali, il confronto diretto con il management e il dibattito con i C-Suite.
- 1 - EMF Assignment – Strategic Finance & AI for Finance
I team applicano gli strumenti acquisiti nei due Capstone all’analisi delle trasformazioni e delle sfide dell’azienda assegnata.
- 2 - EMF C-Suite Forum
Le principali evidenze dei lavori preparatori vengono condivise dai rappresentanti dei Track e diventano oggetto di confronto con i C-Suite delle aziende e istituzioni protagoniste.
- 3 - EMF C-Suite Finance NeXT Report
I principali risultati del lavoro e del dibattito vengono sistematizzati nel report conclusivo del progetto.
I Capstone del project work
Strategic Finance Capstone. Sviluppa, attraverso il learning by doing, strumenti e approcci per analizzare e risolvere problemi complessi attraverso le leve della strategia e della finanza, osservandoli da molteplici prospettive – manager, advisor, imprenditore e investitore – e confrontandosi direttamente con leader della finanza.
Artificial Intelligence for Finance Capstone. Approfondisce metodologie di Artificial Intelligence e Machine Learning e le loro applicazioni nelle industry dei Track EMF, integrando data & business models, machine learning, neural networks e deep learning con applicazioni concrete alla finanza.
Quale obiettivo?
L’obiettivo dell’EMF C-Suite Forum è ascoltare, confrontare e mettere a sistema le visioni dei leader di Corporate e Financial Institution su come la finanza possa contribuire a governare le trasformazioni in atto, sostenere la crescita e creare valore nel lungo periodo.
Il confronto tra C-Suite, Faculty e Classe permette di integrare prospettive provenienti da industry differenti e comprendere come tecnologia, sostenibilità, capitale umano, cambiamenti demografici, rischi e nuovi modelli di business stiano ridefinendo il ruolo della finanza e le competenze richieste ai suoi leader.
È qui che si realizza pienamente il modello EMF: forte specializzazione nelle singole industry e capacità di interpretare la finanza attraverso una visione integrata delle sue interrelazioni.
