Understanding the economic and financial strengths and weaknesses of the company
Participating in this course provides essential tools to understand the fundamental aspects of corporate financial communication, particularly for publicly traded companies. It also enables participants to interpret the relationships between financial statements of all companies, both listed and unlisted.

Who should apply
The course is primarily designed for non-specialists: individuals who have not been previously exposed to financial statement analysis and interpretation through their academic or corporate training. Specifically: Sales & Commercial, Marketing, Production, Logistics, After-Sales/Service, R&D, Procurement, HR & Organization, and Legal Heads of Function. Business Unit Managers (business areas, divisions, branches). Entrepreneurs and General Managers of small and medium-sized enterprises
Structure and contents
The “Fundamentals of Accounting” Online Program can be attended whenever and however you wish. However, to maximize learning, we recommend spreading the learning commitment over 5 weeks with an average allocation of approximately 3 hours per week.
Introduction to financial communication
Key financial reporting statements and the relationships between performance measures
Principles of income, balance sheet, and cash flow recognition and measurement, and preparation of financial statements
Financial statement analysis in relation to industry characteristics and business model choices
Identifying financial strengths and weaknesses from both a shareholder’s and a manager’s perspective
