Foundation of HTA
A practical guide into policies and techniques of value-based healthcare.
The Program aims to provide basic knowledge of health technology assessment and the main techniques of economic evaluation in health. By the end of the Program, you will learn the structure and phases of a health technology assessment process; you will be able to recognize the main economic assessments, and to decide which assessments are most appropriate for each decision-making issue. In addition, you will be able to distinguish good quality analyses and to interpret the correct messages, avoiding distortions in decisions.
Who should apply
The Program is designed for professionals from pharmaceutical and medical device companies, consultants, healthcare organizations, healthcare professionals and policymakers involved in the decision-making process regarding drugs and medical devices. In particular, physicians, nurses, clinical engineers, public health specialists, hospital pharmacists, members of technology evaluation committees of central and decentralized bodies, professionals in market access, marketing, sales and institutional affairs and regulatory affairs.
Structure and contents
The “Foundation of HTA” Online Program can be attended whenever and however you wish. However, to maximize learning, we recommend spreading the learning commitment over 5 weeks with an average allocation of approximately 3 hours per week.
