Managing valuation and negotiation in M&A transactions
In many sectors, extraordinary finance plays a key role in the pursuit of objectives with a major strategic impact, such as entering new markets, technological upgrades and the search for greater efficiency. The success of an M&A transaction is however dependent on various factors, including the economic valuation of the target companies.
A balanced valuation of the variables affecting the value of the company is the true challenge facing those who manage the M&A process: bringing together the Sell Side and Buy Side value perspectives is the first step towards reconciling interests with a view to Post-Merger Integration. The course allows participants to tackle current methods and logic and to learn from the experiences of other key players in the life cycle of a company.
Recent changes on the international scene have also created new investment, industrial and financial opportunities. The program provides a comprehensive overview of the M&A process: a review of the valuation methods for the synthesis of the price/value of the company and the corporate and market variables affecting it, and the analysis of actual experiences and case studies to master the negotiating elements determining the actual price of a transaction.

Who should apply
Professionals, executives and entrepreneurs who intend to approach the world of M&A or who will soon be taking on a position of responsibility.
The course is also open to CEOs, General Managers and entrepreneurs of medium-small companies.
Professional experience of at least 5 years is recommended.

Special payment terms
Bocconi Alumni
Bocconi Alumni are entitled to a 20% reduction on participation fees. To take advantage of the discount, please enter your Alumnus status when registering by indicating “ALUMNI 20” in the notes section. Remember that without this indication, the discount will not be applicable.
Women are good for business
To foster and contribute to women’s professional development, SDA Bocconi School of Management offers them until 8 March 2027 a 20% discount on the participation fee for all Executive Open Programs and Executive Online Programs.
Multiple enrollments
Companies, institutions and public bodies that enroll at least 3 participants in a single program are granted a 20% discount for each registration fee. The concession is not applicable for personal enrollment and must be formalized by the start date of the course.
Corporate education programs
In the case of learning needs involving several resources of the same company enrolled in more than one program, it is possible to define a customized plan from the specific needs of the organization. In this case, our Program Advisors are available to build with the client organizations ad hoc training plans with special pricing.
Partnerships and channel agreements
SDA Bocconi offers the possibility to initiate collaborations that allow them to expand the portfolio of educational trainings to be offered to their members.
