Intensive Program in Art Markets and Finance
A Global Perspective - Executive Program and Mama Concentration

To gain expertise in art markets and finance
The Intensive Program in Art Markets and Finance provides a comprehensive understanding of art market dynamics, encompassing trends in taste, cultural influences, and the pivotal roles of galleries and auction houses. As art increasingly becomes a significant investment with potential for substantial, uncorrelated returns, this program provides essential knowledge on market trends, valuation methods, and risk factors such as market demand fluctuations, authenticity, and legal issues. It emphasizes the importance of managing risks associated with the physical and financial aspects of art.
Participants explore legal and ethical considerations, including authenticity, provenance, copyright, and cultural heritage, and the institutional and regulatory frameworks essential for ethical business conduct. The program also addresses the evolving nature of the art market, including emerging trends like financialization and art lending. Engaging with key market players, participants gain insights into the roles of collectors, investors, galleries, advisors, fairs, and auction houses, equipping them with the expertise to navigate the complexities of the international art scene.
This Program in Art Markets and Finance is also available as a concentration within the Master in Arts Management and Administration (MAMA).
