After ranking Bocconi University among the world’s top 10 schools for its Master’s in Management, the Financial Times has recognised another major achievement for our institution: first place in the Carbon Footprint Rank. This dedicated category within the FT’s Global MBA Ranking assesses the environmental footprint of the campus where the programme is delivered, as well as its targets for reducing CO₂ emissions.

This achievement was made possible by investments in photovoltaic energy generation technologies, which have brought the Campus’s installed capacity to approximately 1.1 MW. Since 2017, the University has purchased electricity exclusively from certified renewable sources.

“This recognition is tangible evidence of our commitment to sustainability and our ambition to remain at the forefront in this area,” says Francesco Perrini, Associate Dean for Sustainability at SDA Bocconi School of Management.

“For more than 30 years, we have worked tirelessly to embed a sustainability mindset into every aspect of university life. Our journey towards sustainability is an ethical responsibility to future generations and a clear demonstration of how education can play a key role in creating a more sustainable world.”
