The SDA Bocconi Dean was appointed today to the board of directors of the global association of graduate business schools. He will take office on 1 July.

Giuseppe Soda, Dean of SDA Bocconi School of Management, as of today is a member of the board of directors of the Graduate Management Admission Council™ (GMAC™), the global association that brings together the world’s top graduate business schools.

Soda, whose term officially begins on July 1, has been appointed together with three other new members: Katy Montgomery, Associate Dean, Degree Programmes, INSEAD;  François Ortalo-Magné, Dean, London Business School; and Yuan Ding, Vice President and Dean at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), who had already joined the board in January of this year to fill the seat vacated by Enase Okonedo of Pan-Atlantic University.

"The great transformation in the education sector also affects the selection and admission processes in universities and business schools around the world,” says Soda. “The GMAC board represents a unique observatory for understanding these challenges and understanding how to rethink the selection criteria in a less standardized way, with a greater focus on critical thinking, diversity and inclusion ".

Founded in 1953, GMAC provides world-class research, industry conferences, recruiting tools and assessments for the graduate management education industry, as well as tools, resources, events and services that help guide candidates on their higher education path. The Graduate Management Admission Test ™ (GMAT ™) exam, owned and administered by GMAC, is the most popular assessment for business schools.
