THE BOCCONI PROFESSOR WILL REVIEW THE PROJECTS SUBMITTED TO THE NATIONAL SMARTER HEALTH CARE PROGRAM

Federico Lega, Director of SDA Bocconi’s Master in International Health Care Management, Economics and Policy, is one of the nine international experts called by the Swiss National Science Foundation to review 173 research projects submitted to Smarter Health Care, a new Swiss national research funding program for projects in health policy, management and economics. The program aims to support innovative research in health care services.

“The program is financed with 17 mln Swiss Francs, the largest endowment for any innovation program in Swiss health care”, Prof. Lega explains. “The 173 submitted projects ask for a total of 71.4 mln Swiss Francs, thus we’ll have to select no more than 40 projects”.

Furthermore, in January Prof. Lega was appointed associate editor of Medical Care Research and Review. The journal, with impact factor 2.5, is one of the top ten journals in health policy and management.
