SDA BOCCONI PRESENTED THE DIGITAL ENTERPRISE VALUE AND ORGANIZATION LAB, IN JOINT WITH 20 FOUNDING MEMBER COMPANIES
A permanent Lab on high impact technologies, able to single out the most promising enterprise technologies, a thorough research report per year and some vertical in-depth analyses on topics chosen and discussed with the founding member companies will be the output of the DEVO Lab, the Lab on Digital Enterprise Value and Organization, launched by SDA Bocconi School of Management.
DEVO Lab wants to spread awareness of the relevance of enterprise digital transformation, with a special focus on organizational and financial impacts, thanks to the cooperation of 20 founding member companies, including both major ICT actors and companies which are living the digital transformation.
“DEVOLab value is especially due to a think tank established with the founding members”, the Lab director, Gianluigi Castelli, says, “a unique environment for the convergence of technological, managerial, organizational and financial knowledge, posed to become a reference point for understanding the value of enterprise’s digital transformation”.
As highlighted at the Lab presentation, companies and their value are more and more affected by digital technologies. Companies, though, are slower than consumers in adopting new technologies that would improve their processes, models and solutions. The main reasons seem to be the lack of awareness of how digitalization affects the way organizations work, the distance between ICT and the other departments and the lack of digital expertise and vision.
These are the founding member companies: A2A, Accenture, AvantGarde group, Business integration partners (Bip), Cisco, Deloitte digital, Emc, Enel, Engineering, Exprivia, Hp, Iren, Microsoft, Ntt Data, Prysmian, Reply, Sap, Snam, Teradata, Vodafone.
