Back to School: a safe up-and-running in three steps

We were hoping, we were looking forward to it, we were getting ready for it. Now we can finally do it: it’s time to go back to our campus from June 26th! A Lombardy Region Order allows teaching activities to resume face to face. Since the beginning of this health emergency, the School has relentlessly worked to continue all the programs and services offered to our community. We never stopped “being there for you”, remote. Now we are happy to welcome you back in person in our new campus, in the best and safest ways. In doing so, we are following three main directions, three key guidelines to reopening: safety, highest education standards, customized service.

Being back on campus mandates maximum safety standards. The School doesn’t merely comply with all the requirements of competent authorities but enforces a wide range of measures designed to protect yours and everybody’s health. They include: continuous sanitization of all areas (several times a day), distancing between persons ensured in classrooms and elsewhere on campus well beyond the minimum 1-meter requirement, non-stop automated air change with the latest generation of sanitized ventilation systems, body temperature screening and registration by SDAB Life App QR code upon entering campus, supply of masks, gloves and sanitizing gel compulsory on campus. When everybody is safe you are in the best position for a top learning experience.

SDA Bocconi’s teaching is even stronger after this trial. Online education and distance learning had been part of the School’s methodology long before the pandemic, and the lockdown only confirmed how smart that choice was. Resuming on-campus activities, we are now offering two simultaneous and mutually integrating learning dimensions: in-classroom, with all the benefits of directly interacting in complete safety, and online, thanks to camera systems that guarantee maximum visibility of teachers and digital board.

Even if the present “abnormal” situation still calls for general attention, the School doesn’t give up one-to-one relations with students and participants. Now more than ever, we think they are at the heart of our action and attention, and should be supported individually. That is why we carry on with all the customized services our staff has always provided. That is what we concretely mean by “starting over together”.
