SDA Bocconi Global MBA in the world's top 3 for ROI

SDA Bocconi Global MBA is an increasingly profitable investment. The result is coming from the 2019 Global MBA Rankings by QS, the authoritative international provider of specialized higher education and career information. In the new ranking, our Global MBA ranks 3rd out of 251 evaluated schools worldwide, based both on 10-year ROI (Return on Investment) and Payback time (total time to recover the cost of participating in the program). SDA Bocconi thus climbs 5 positions in one year amongst a wider number of competitors – last year it ranked 8th out of 232 schools, almost 20 less than now.

Our Global MBA achieved the highest scores in Return on Investment (96.6 out of 100), Thought Leadership (89.2), which evaluates academic reputation, faculty with PhD and research impact, and Employability (85.4), an indicator that "weighs" by itself 40% in the composition of the overall ranking. Moreover, with the same overall score of 83.6, the SDA Bocconi Global MBA has proven itself to be in the European Top 10.

The ROI, the strongest point of our Global MBA, accounts for 20% of the 2019 Global MBA Rankings. It has been calculated that the Program has a 10-year average return on investment of $ 739,325, much greater than the global mean of $ 405,761.

For the Payback Month Score indicator, the Program scored 100 out of 100. Based on factors including tuition, pre and post program salary estimates, and duration of Program, QS estimates that it takes 21 months or 1.8 years to fully payback the cost of the Program. This breakeven measure is less than the global mean of 50 months or 4.2 years.

“We are very proud of this achievement”, says Giuseppe Soda, Dean of SDA Bocconi. “It shows that our Global MBA is a great investment not only for personal growth but also in terms of economic profitability. And this is mainly due to the great value of research and the outstanding academic profile of its faculty. Of course our commitment to further improve our positioning goes on.
