EGP Business School, sustainability reaches another milestone

“A great partnership for a great challenge.” This was the comment by Giuseppe Soda, Dean SDA Bocconi, to mark the conclusion of the EGP School of Business Development initiative. Started in May of last year, it was a collaboration between the School and ENEL Green Power, a global leader in renewable energy, to offer the finest training opportunity to 120 business developers from 20 different countries.

The graduation ceremony was attended by Antonello Cammisecra, CEO, Roberta Bonomi, Head of HR, and Valentino Rossi, Head of Business Development, from EGP, and by Matteo Di Calstelnuovo, Program Director, and Giovanni Tomasi, Corporate Custom Programs Director, from SDA Bocconi. All of them highlighted the success of the initiative: both in terms of a more complete managerial approach of resources that guide crucial innovations for the planet such as renewable energy, and in terms of the synergy of two outstanding businesses such as EGP and SDA Bocconi.

“Manager training is very important to us,” reminded us EGP’s CEO. “We are a world leader in our sector and we need the best talents, with the best possible training, to win the global challenge of sustainability.” The same concept was reiterated by the EBSD Director: “We know business developers need to cover many fronts at the same time, and the value of this training program lies in having provided them, within a limited period of time, a complete set of skills and operational tools that can be used in their daily work.”

EGP’s Head of HR praised the successful partnership: “There was an excellent collaboration between SDA Bocconi and EGP, both of them really opened up, took great care in the planning of the courses and the monitoring of the results.” According to the Custom Programs Director, there were three main strong points: “A high degree of customization, a mixed faculty from SDA Bocconi and the ENEL Group, and an international classroom.” An excellent example of high-profile management culture applied to the specific needs of a cutting-edge company.
