Our EMBA admissions process is designed to select a highly qualified and motivated class, bringing together diverse talents to foster a dynamic and stimulating learning environment. We don’t just assess whether you are the right fit for the Executive MBA—we also want to ensure that the EMBA aligns with your expectations.
The selection process involves a holistic evaluation of your application materials, along with other key factors such as professional experience, leadership potential, and personal drive. Through this rigorous approach, we aim to create a class of outstanding individuals who will benefit from the program—not only to achieve their career goals and personal aspirations but also to enrich the learning experience of their peers.

What we need from you
The following documents must be uploaded to the relevant section of the Application portal and submitted to the Admissions team:
Admissions results
As soon as the selection process is completed, you will receive a formal letter from the Admissions committee notifying you of the decision. Selection results are never communicated by telephone. All decisions made by the Admissions committee are final.
The selection process will result in one of the following outcomes:
- Admission: You will receive the official admission letter and participation contract. You must confirm your participation by the deadline specified by the Admissions committee.
If all available spots have been filled, the school may place you on a waiting list or offer admission for the following edition.
Admission to the program is valid for the year the application is submitted. However, you can request deferment for the following year, but approval of deferment is on a case-by-case decision by the Admissions committee.
- Non-admission: Our selection process evaluates each candidate’s individual profile while also considering the overall composition of the EMBA class. Although we recognize the significant effort each candidate invests in the selection process, we do not provide personalized feedback to non-admitted candidates
How to apply
The online application for the Executive MBA Weekend (2026–2028 edition) is available exclusively online.
Please note that the application portal is a separate platform, so your SDA Bocconi website (www.sdabocconi.it) credentials cannot be used. Please proceed with a new registration.
- All required documents must be uploaded to the relevant section of the Application portal and submitted to the Admissions team.
- Applicants may track the receipt of their application and monitor their application status directly through the online application.
- Additional documents can be uploaded after the initial application submission.

We look for highly motivated candidates with well-defined goals
Executive MBA applications are reviewed on a rolling basis during the following period: September 2025 - March 2026 for the EMBA Weekend (2026-2028 edition).
We encourage early application to maximize your chances for admission.
The entire evaluation process typically takes up to eight weeks from the completion of all stages. During the selection process, the school evaluates applications and awards scholarships/exemptions to deserving candidates who have submitted a formal request.
Admitted candidates must confirm their participation by the deadline specified by the Admissions team. Results will be communicated in writing to all candidates. Full details regarding the selection process and the required documentation can be found in the application form.
Candidates are asked to indicate their preferred Executive MBA format in the online application. The school reserves the right to cancel a program if the number of qualified applications is insufficient to maintain the classroom’s quality standards. In such cases, candidates will be informed of their program allocation based on the preferences indicated in their application.
