#EMBAWOMEN

An association committed to the growth of female leadership, contributing to the creation of fairer and more equitable business models and organizations, building its mission on three key values: BE, GROW, EVOLVE.

EMBAWomen was founded by a group of EMBA Alumnae who felt the need to give voice to their enterprising spirit as ambitious women, aware of the challenges society and the economic landscape present, but also conscious of the strength of a peer group and the power of networking.

Our Story

Today, EMBAWomen represents an independent reality with over 150 alumni and alumnae united by an EMBA journey that catalyzes both personal and professional transformation. The community works in harmonious alignment with SDA Bocconi, a necessary partner to ensure gender equality is not just a slogan but a fundamental pillar for the leadership of tomorrow.

Empowerment and managerial development for women go through education, fostering responsible, collaborative, and inclusive leadership that is capable of shaping economies and businesses.

The idea for EMBAWomen was born from a group of women EMBA candidates in 2019.
The initiative was presented to the Director and began to take shape under the name #EMBAWomen.
In December 2019, the first event was organized.
In 2021, driven by the same intention, a group of executive women relaunched the program with the goal of including and valuing the participation of all EMBA courses.

This is how EMBAWomen came to life, growing richer in content day by day.

Executive MBA and EMBAWomen focus on:

1. Gender equality, fairness and managerial sustainability
Promoting and safeguarding equal opportunities, a “sustainable” and “fair” leadership model within organizations, and female empowerment.
2. More executive master business administration for women
Increasing the number of women in Executive MBA classes, recognizing and communicating the real value and impact an EMBA has on women’s careers.
3. Network, community, and dialogue
Being a space for meetings and exchanges between professionals from various sectors, promoting the value of gender diversity within the business, institutional, and social community, while fostering discussions on professional and personal challenges.
4. Professional development
Strengthening the network of women and guiding and supporting the professional development of women leaders.
5. Mentoring & ambassadorship
Enhancing the skills and preparation of community members by directing them toward activities (social, personal, cultural, corporate) that promote the improvement of women’s lives, both personally and professionally.
6. Eliminating discrimination
Encouraging women to continuously strive to remove existing obstacles and any form of discrimination, whether in family, social, or work settings, in full compliance with current equality laws.
7. Charity and donations
Encouraging charitable activities, distance support, and the free donation of goods or products.

Scholarship offered

Each year, SDA Bocconi School of Management offers partial tuition waivers for the EMBA Weekend (Milan and Rome) and EMBA Modular programs.
For each edition, 30% of the tuition waivers are dedicated to candidates who demonstrate excellence in their profiles.

EMBA Weekend 2025-2027 (Closed)
10 partial tuition waivers of € 10,000 each for the Rome edition.
14 partial tuition waivers of € 19,000 each: 7 for the Milan edition, 4 for the Rome edition, and 2 for both Milan and Rome.

Mentorships and events

The reputation of the EMBAWomen Alumnae has helped attract high-caliber leaders and sparked meaningful, impartial discussions, creating a more inclusive and cooperative community. This includes Role Modeling, Leadership, and Networking events with the Bocconi Alumni Community Chapters.

These initiatives not only inspire leadership and inclusion models but also emphasize the value of relationships, connecting female and male managers, fostering open dialogues, and establishing solid, trustworthy, and lasting relationships.

EMBAWomen Alumnae and Alumni share their expertise and inspiration by serving as mentors for EMBA candidates on campus.
