Mattia Pianorsi is a Junior Researcher of the Space Economy Evolution Laboratory at SDA Bocconi School of Management.Ā
Mattia coordinates research projects of the SEE Lab and is a Professor in space economy, delivering lectures for MBA and MEBI students. In the meantime, he is Learning Coordinator of custom programs for senior executives. He finally functions both as a Teaching Assistant for the course on Infrastructure & Project Finance and as an Academic Tutor for CEMS (the Global Alliance in Management Education) research projects at Bocconi University.Ā
Within the SEE Lab, he has expanded his academic interests addressing venture capital investments and start-up development, especially in the space sector.Ā His current research addresses the economic sustainability of emerging space ventures that target the cislunar economy with the intention of exploiting the lunar resources.Ā
Mattia has co-authored "The Economics of Moon mining" paper published by Acta Astronautica - Elsevier which has presented at international space conferences. To carry out theĀ activities of the SEE Lab, Mattia is working space commercial companies as well as space institutions,Ā such as the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and the European Space Agency (ESA). Finally, he collaborates with the European Space Resources Innovation Center (ESRIC) in Luxembourg and he is a member of Lunar Commerce and Economics Working Group (LCE) of the Moon Village Association.
Mattia holds a MSc in Management from Bocconi University and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from UniversitĆ degli Studi di Firenze. He also attended the Executive Management Program in Banking in 2015 and the Teaching Excellence Program in 2017, both at SDA Bocconi School of Management.
