Gianluca Meloni is Associate Professor of Practice of Accounting and Control at SDA Bocconi School of Management. Since January 2017, he is Accounting and Control Faculty Deputy at SDA Bocconi School of Management. He is Clinical Professor of Planning & Control Systems and Performance Measurement at Bocconi University.
In 1995, began the collaboration with SDA Bocconi. Since then, he taught in various courses like Planning & Control Systems and Reporting Systems and Performance Evaluation. He conducted several research, training and consulting projects with some of the most important players in the manufacturing and retail industry.
His research activities focus on three main areas: the first one concerns the reporting systems and performance evaluation in commercial businesses, the second focuses on predictive analysis (and its impact on budgeting and forecasting processes) and the last deals with the possible relationships between management control systems and business intelligence systems.
He is author of numerous books and articles on the subject. His works have been published in HBR Italia, Economia & Management and Sistemi e Impresa, among others. He takes part in the editorial board of Sistemi e Impresa and he is consultant to several industrial, trading and service companies.
Gianluca earned a Degree in Business Economy from Bocconi University and an ITP (International Teachers Programme) organized by the IMD in 2006.
