Erika Mallarini is an Associate Professor of Practice of Government, Health and Not for Profit at SDA Bocconi School of Management.
At SDA Bocconi, she coordinates the OCPS (Osservatorio sui Consumi Privati in sanità ), and she has been head of FOFI (Osservatorio sull’evoluzione della Professione farmacisti). She coordinates the Management Course of Pharmacy and Dental Office Management. She is a Professor and Coordinator for Modules on Pharmaceutical Companies of the EMMAS (Executive Master in Healthcare Management) and MiMS (Master in Health Management) Programs. She has conducted research and education projects with major healthcare companies: public and private health and social-health companies, pharmaceutical companies, drug wholesalers and retailer networks in the world of healthcare and well-being.
Her research activities focus on many topics linked with management. She takes an interest in health management & policy, pharmaceutical management & policy, healthcare retail management, policies for territorial development and investment attractiveness, quality, benchmarking, public and health marketing and corporate social responsibility. Currently, she is dealing with seven concepts related to her research: trust management, pharmaceutical care prevention and compliance, innovative medicines, market access, private consumption in healthcare, healthcare & wellness retail management and drug wholesalers.
She is the author of numerous books and articles on her topics of interest. Her works have been published in Research in Social & Administrative Pharmacy, Micro e Macro Marketing, Quaderni Società Italia Farmacologia, Aboutpharma and Mecosan and she forms part of many scientific committes and International Advisory Boards for the launch of innovative drugs, in particular biotechnological drugs. She was the Director at the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Economic Development and she has held various positions as an expert at the Ministry of Health, the National Health Council and the Council Presidency. She is currently Chairwoman of the Supervisory Humanitas St. Pius X and a member of the OIV (Independent Evaluation Body) of ASL Cuneo.
Erika earned a degree in Business Administration from Università Bocconi.
