Enrico Guarini is Affiliate Professor of Government, Health and Not for Profit at SDA Bocconi School of Management. He is Associate Professor of Business Administration and Management at the University of Milano-Bicocca.
At SDA Bocconi, he has been Director of the Executive Education-Custom Programs for Public administration, Healthcare and Non-profit organizations and he is Editorial Board member of OCAP (Research Centre for Innovation in Government). He has designed and led several research projects and bespoke executive education programs in Italian public administrations.
His research activities focus on public budgeting and financial management, public management and policy, management accounting and control systems, local governance.
He is the author of numerous books and articles on the subject. His works have been published in Public Money & Management, International Review of Administrative Sciences, International Journal of Public Sector Performance Management, Financial Accountability & Management, Accounting History, and Accounting History Review among others. He is Co-chair of the Special Interest Group on Local Governance at the International Society for Public Management (IRSPM). He served as a member of the editorial board of Azienda Pubblica and of Economia & Management journals. He is member of the Performance Evaluation Board of several Italian local governments.
Enrico earned an MSc and a Ph.D. in Business Administration and Management both from Bocconi University.
