Monitor Circular Fashion Manifesto EP 1
Between evolving regulations and ongoing innovations, addressing the issue of circularity in fashion in a concrete way is highly complex.
The Circular Fashion Manifesto focuses on the key areas that require attention in order to implement a concrete and measurable transformation. According to the Monitor for Circular Fashion, circular projects—whether pilot or industrialized—play a fundamental role, as they offer the opportunity to test real innovations in the field. Brands that participate in these projects commit to exploring and implementing innovative approaches, which they then share with the Monitor community and with the listeners of this podcast episode—because every transformation starts with sharing the journey.
Participants included:
- Mauro Scalia, Director of Sustainable Business di EURATEX
- Silvia Mazzanti, Sustainability Manager di Save The Duck
- Enrico Degara, Chief Sustainability Officer YKK
- Luca Boltri, Vice-direttore UNIC
- Sabrina Fontini, Direttrice ICEC

Circularity & Social Impact - EP 2
The connections between social impact measurement and circularity are numerous: people are the true drivers of any transformation, and measuring the effectiveness and sustainability of a strategy requires placing the social dimension at the center.
In a sector as complex as this one—employing millions of people worldwide at every stage of production, from fiber to finished product to end-of-life—the challenge is ambitious, but it cannot be postponed: it’s required not only by legislation, but also by the market. Consumers are now active participants in this shift.
In this episode, the production supply chain takes center stage: we’ll discuss transparency and traceability, but also audits and their effectiveness. Concrete cases and experiences will be shared to illustrate how impacts are measured throughout the production process. A reflection on diversity and inclusion will also be central to the conversation.
Speakers:
- Maria Teresa Pisani - OIC Chief Trade Facilitation Section of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe) e The Sustainability Pledge Project Lead
- Giulia Iemmolo - Manager - Data Quality & Integrity Social & Labor Convergence Program Labor Convergence Program

Circularity & Logistics - EP 3
Logistics and Circularity in Fashion: there are numerous connections between these two domains—from optimizing the reuse of scraps and managing returns to reducing emissions. At the heart of it all lies the need to measure material flows, often using technological tools, in order to gain greater awareness and design truly effective sustainability strategies.
We discussed this in the third episode of the podcast with:
- Martina Costa, Sustainability Manager BIP
- Simon Giuliani, Global Marketing Director di Candiani SpA
- Simone Ripani, Operation and Supply Chain Manager di Avery Dennison
- Alfio Fontana, Corporate Partnership & CSR Manager di Humana People to People Italia
Circularity & Innovations - EP 4
Circular innovation is the driving force that pushes companies and organizations to embrace new business models, rethink production processes, and implement solutions capable of addressing the emerging challenges they face. These are complex, often pioneering paths, where companies step out of their comfort zones, frequently experimenting with new forms of collaboration.
We talked about this with:
- Caterina Tonda, Ready to Wear Sustainable Development Manager del Material Innovation Lab di Kering
- Giorgia Carissimi, Innovation e Sustainable Manager di Albini Group
- Liuba Napoli, Sustainable Innovation Manager di Eurojersey
- Giovanna Sinibaldi, R&D Manager di Eurojersey
- Chiara Ferraris, Chief Communication Officer di Radici Group
Circularity & Social Impact - EP 5
How effective are fashion companies’ circularity strategies when measured against the requirements set by new European legislative initiatives on environmental and social sustainability?
This is the central question that guided the research and main findings of the Monitor for Circular Fashion, the Research Observatory within the Sustainability Lab at SDA Bocconi School of Management. The 2024/2025 Report analyzes fashion companies’ circularity strategies in light of an evolving regulatory landscape.
The results of this work are presented in this podcast episode by the research team:
- Francesca Romana Rinaldi, Direttrice del Monitor for Circular Fashion e co-autrice del podcast;
- Elena Scoccianti, Ricercatrice e Coordinatrice dei Progetti Circolari del Monitor;
- Francesca Boni, Ricercatrice e Coordinatrice del C-Factor del Monitor
For the technology-focused segment, we’ve included excerpts from the talks given during the launch of the Monitor for Circular Fashion Report by:

This first season of the Circular Fashion Talks Podcast ends here—but we’re already gearing up for a new series together with the partners of M4CF 2025/2026. So for now, it’s goodbye—and we’ll meet again soon!
