The Sport Knowledge Center of SDA Bocconi offers several Academic and Executive Programs in Sport and Event Management, both in traditional classroom and online (synchronous or asynchronous), as well as the possibility to build a path tailored to the needs of one individual student.
The FIFA Master takes its graduates on a unique journey through three different European countries to study sport.
Organised by the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) in partnership with three universities, De Montfort University in Leicester (England), SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan (Italy) and the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland) Three distinguished universities which are among Europe's most sports oriented countries, have come together to provide a one year programme that combines top-class academic teaching and practical case studies supplemented by guest lecturers and field visits. The course focuses on three key and inter-related aspects of sport humanities, management and law.

The Online On Demand Program develops useful skills for managing marketing and sponsorship activities, planning and organizing sport events.
Starting from the analysis of the best practices, the consultation with experts in the field and a practical application of the acquired knowledge, the course will offer reference models, operational tools and new ideas on how to manage business in an innovative way.

Some examples are: reports on economic and managerial sport-related topics, economic and sport performances analysis, benchmarking analysis, consumer behavior and preference analysis (e.g. fans), case studies, etc.
A tailor-made training program comes after an in-depth analysis of customers’ needs and environment, delivering a unique educational experience. Some examples are: in class training programs (even 1-to-1); Workshop, round tables and seminars; Field-Visits and Study Tour.
Some examples are: visit of clubs, venues, companies and institutions meeting executives, also during events.
Sport champions interviews and speeches are a way to learn leadership and performance skills.

In the last years, the Sport Knowledge Center has developed several partnerships and key initiatives with relevant players in the Italian and international sports system.
A custom program developed in partnership with the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA). It is the first training initiative for NBA players delivered outside the US borders. The IBA delivers one program together with SDA Bocconi, named Branding in the Global Economy. It started in 2017, in each edition NBA players are involved in an education initiative organized in SDA Bocconi, that included in-class lectures, guest speakers and field visits such as Ferrari, Stone Island, and Lamborghini. At the end of each edition, SDA classrooms host a special episode of Basket Room - a talk show on Basketball, broadcasted by Sky Sport.

The Executive Program in “Football Management”, promoted by the Techinical Center of FIGC (the Italian Football Federation) in partnership with SDA Bocconi, aims to be a reference point for improving knowledge and skills for the management of professional football organisations. The objective of the Program is to provide managers and professionals of football clubs with the most useful managerial tools to improve the quality of their decisions. It aims to spread the most advanced managerial knowledge in the world of football to help improve the performance of tangible and intangible assets, to define innovative planning with all stakeholders in the football ecosystem and to work according to sustainability principles, enhancing the technical and human components of football.

Josoor Institute offers and awards Diploma Programmes in Sports Management and Major Events Management, designed to enhance the knowledge and skill sets of those hoping to pursue careers in the Sports Management or Events Management field, or those who already hold positions in these dynamic and exciting fields, in the MENA Region.
Diploma Programme in Sports Management
The Programme in Sports Management focuses on key professional and management aspects of sports business, introducing the participants to modern sports business and challenging them to debate and analyse its best practices. Moreover, managerial theories are explored together with their applications to the business of sports.

Diploma Programme in Major Events Management
The Programme in Major Events Management equips the participants with an in-depth understanding of the major events ecosystem internationally and in Qatar by mean of knowledge and best practices from a variety of major events in areas like sports, arts, entertainment, festivals, concerts, conferences, museums and fashion exhibitions. From sporting events like IAAF 2019, to cultural and entertainment ones like Qatar International Food Festival, Museum Exhibitions, and AR Rahman’s music concert, and obviously the FIFA World Cup 2022™ and the events in parallel with and the run up to it, Qatar itself increasingly offers best practices in major events management.

Both Programmes include a mix of sessions taught by SDA Bocconi Professors and experiences brought by professionals of the sports industry.

SDA Bocconi School of Management is the lead academic partner, which provides executive education and organisational oversight to Josoor Institute for the programmes managing the development and delivery of the Programmes’ contents, the selection of faculty, and all faculty and delegate assessments.
The partnership is for the period 2019-2022.
