Biography

Vittoria Veronesi is Associate Professor of Practice in Operations and Technology at SDA Bocconi School of Management. She is also Adjunct Professor of Technology, Innovation and Operations Management, Business Strategy in Creative Industries, and Management of Fashion Companies at Bocconi University.

At SDA Bocconi, she serves as Director of the MAFED (Master in Fashion Experience and Design), Director of the Kering Supply Chain Academy, and previously held the role of Academic Coordinator of the Luxury Business Management concentration within the Full-Time MBA program (2023–2025). She is the Academic Director of the ABB Passport Programs (both Italian and international). From 2007 to 2025, she served as Academic Director of the Eni Program for Management Development. In the past, she was Director of the Altagamma Academy and Director of the Master in Management of Food and Beverage. She is a core faculty member of the MAFED and the MBA program (Luxury Business Management track). She is involved in numerous research and executive education projects with companies operating in fashion & luxury, hospitality, and food & beverage sectors.

Her research focuses on supply chain strategy and design, as well as operations management. In particular, she examines whether and how advanced technologies can be integrated into the operations of luxury and high-end companies – across product development, industrialization, manufacturing, and retail, both frontend and backend – to enhance efficiency, speed, customization, sustainability, and the customer experience.

She is the author of books and articles in her fields of interest, published in outlets such as Economia & Management and Logistica & Management. Most recently, she published the book The Evolution of Made in Italy with Palgrave Macmillan (2023) and the article Artification-Based Philanthropy at Ornellaia: Vendemmia d’artista Supports the Mind’s Eye Program of the Guggenheim Museum, co-authored with M. C. Cito, in the Journal of Philanthropy and Marketing (2024).

She collaborates with the Sustainability Lab and the Arts & Culture Knowledge Center at SDA Bocconi. She previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of Zeroquattro Logistica S.r.l., a company specializing in integrated logistics services for the fresh food market. In July 2015, she participated in the GloColl – Global Colloquium on Participant-Centered Learning at Harvard Business School.

Vittoria Veronesi holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Brescia, a Master’s degree in Environmental Economics and Management from Bocconi University, and a PhD in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the University of Bergamo, developed in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, Boston) and the Zaragoza Logistics Center (Spain).
