Remo Dalla Longa

Biography

Remo Dalla Longa is an Associate Professor of Practice in Government, Health and Not for Profit at SDA Bocconi School of Management.

At SDA Bocconi, he helped to set up the PREM Research Observatory - (Public Real Estate Management) in 2014 and is its Scientific Director. He is the Coordinator of GePROPI (Certificate of Specialization in: Management of Construction Processes of Public Works and Infrastructures), Coordinator of the Field project and of the BEC (Business Excellence Certificate). He has coordinated a significant amount of research for major Italian public organizations, international bodies and institutions (OCDE, EC, Italian Government) and for the various territorial organizations (Italian and EU regional bodies). He has coordinated international PPP projects.

Through his research, he has made original contributions to the introduction of management and the life cycle (CDV, LTC, assembly) for public works and infrastructures. His research focuses on the management of public works and infrastructures; the management of complex urban interventions; real estate assets; construction companies; project management applied to the technical component; facility management and global service; public private-partnerships (PPP) and long term contracts (LTC).

He is the author of numerous national and international monographs published by Carocci, Etas, Springer, Bancaria Editrice on his topics on interest. The most recent titles include: “Globalization and Urban Implosion”; Urban Models an Public-Private Partnerships; The management of public real estate assets. He has also published essays and articles in major national and international journals. His most recent publications include: "The Public-Private Partnership: State-market evolution in public works and infrastructures", Rome, Carocci, 2017; "Reorganization of the Infrastructure Sector and New Forms of Financing", Milan, ISPI-LediPublishing, 2020. He is a member of a panel of expert academics of the Commission for the implementation of various European directives. He was a member of the technical panel of the Council of Ministers for drawing up the Code of Public Contracts (CDCP - Legislative Decree 50/2016). He is an expert member of the Superior Council of the LL.PP.

Remo holds a degree in Territorial Economics from the Politecnico di Milano and a Ph.D in Economics and Planning. He has carried out research at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne (UK).
